Rachel's
Light
Rachel Levine has only accepted
a position as governess to
Samuel Stein's two young
children to help her immigrant
family survive in the new world
that was America. Samuel
Stein's bitterness over his late
wife's affairs, and his wounds
from the American Revolution
have made him an insufferable
employer. It was Chanukkah, the
Festival of Lights, and Rachel
knew she had to try and bring
light into the Stein household
for the sake of the children.
They had lost their mother and
their father was emotionally
unavailable to them. Neither
Rachel nor Samuel could have any
idea that the beautiful light of
her soul would shine through to
Samuel's heart - melting the ice
walls he had held there for so
long.
