I
grew up in lower Michigan
surrounded by beautiful
lakes. It was there I
developed my love of the
arts. I spent many years in
dance class and I appeared
in numerous theatrical
productions - both musical
and non-musical. Along the
way, my love of horses
led me to Equestrian
competitions. Upon entering
college at the University of
Michigan, I continued my
theater studies and worked
in television production, as
well as a producer, segment
director and
script writer. I was a copy
writer for a radio station
in Charleston, South
Carolina.
Throughout my life and
varied education/careers,
one thing remained a
constant - books and my love
of reading.
I received my Masters of
Education in Clinical
Counseling and spent nearly
10 years as a therapist -
working with a very diverse
population. An injury and
subsequent time off my
counseling job led me to
realize that what I really
wanted to do was write!
Write fiction and lots of
it. It was now or never to
have the courage to look
into my heart and
soul and follow a dream I
had denied for so long. I
began writing and have never
looked back.
I currently reside in
Western Tennessee with one
tall husband, two tall sons,
and two large dogs. I don't
believe in doing anything in
small measure!
I can find inspiration for
my stories in everything.
Walking my dogs under the
stars, visiting the ocean
that I love so much, even
during family karate time (I
am close to my black belt).
Stories are everywhere -
just waiting to be
written!
